Garcetti, Reyes Show Support for Second Latino-Majority County District

The two council members, both of whom represent parts of Echo Park, left a city council meeting Tuesday to speak in support of the County redistricting proposal.
It is sponsored by supervisors Gloria Molina and Mark Ridley-Thomas. The boundaries would create a second district that is majority latino.
The change would permanently shift the dynamics of county politics, according to some.
