Fighter Jets Intercept 2 Aircraft that Get Too Close to Obama's Flight in L.A.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command scrambled F-15 fighter jets to intercept two aircraft that violated restricted airspace during President Barack Obama's visit to Los Angeles, officials said today.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to NORAD, which reported that the general aviation aircraft were "out of communications."

"Once the aircraft were intercepted and had departed the Temporary Flight Restricted Zone, they landed at regional airports and were investigated by local law enforcement," according to a NORAD statement.
