North-south streets closed along the Los Marathon race route should be opening in Echo Park and Silver Lake, reports City News Service.
The last runner, on crutches, passed the corner of Vermont Avenue and Sunset Boulevard at 11:25 a.m., according to firefighters.
City News Service is also saying that north-south streets in Hollywood and west that cross the race course are expected to stay closed until later this afternoon.
So we are lucky!
Thousands lined Sunset and Glendale boulevards earlier this morning as runners made their turn up Temple Street from Downtown L.A., snapping photos and cheering.
