Columbus Day Half Holiday: Where Are You?

Some government offices are closed, along with the stock markets. How are you spending your Columbus Day?

Darn.

It's not QUITE a holiday today as many of us at work this "official' Columbus Day have already found.

Nonetheless, federal, county and city offices, animal shelters and courts and libraries will be closed.

We'll get no mail. But our trash will be picked up.

The DMV and state offices will be open along with schools.

Transit too is running on a regular schedule.

The stock markets are closed. But most malls and supermarkets will be open.
