Supporters of Christopher Dorner and opponents of police corruption rallied Saturday across from Los Angeles Police Department headquarters in Downtown Los Angeles.
Some held signs, some wore bandanas and masks.
"People have already written books, people have already written letters," said Wendell Jenkins of Long Beach, a Dorner supporter. "I believe they are headed somewhere with this."
Protesters said they did not support Dorner's use of violence but thought his charges of cronyism and racism at the LAPD deserved further attention.
"What other choice do we have at this point?" added Gabriel Sotello of South El Monte. "We should not accept what's going on."
Sotello also said he thinks any reinvestigation of Dorner's case should be done by an independent commission, not the LAPD.
The vigil did not appear to be organized by any formal group and had no scheduled starting or end time.
Some heard about about it first through Facebook, including the "I Support Christopher Dorner" page.
