CD 13 Race Getting Nasty, Stinky
A Tweet from someone pretending to be John Choi underscores the direction things are taking in the campaign for this choice political seat.
Campaigning in the race for the Los Angeles City Council District 13 seat is getting nastier and nastier--or, should we say, stinkier and stinkier.
A new Tweet from someone pretending to be candidate John Choi--responding to a post by one of our followers--highlights the venom around these final days before the May 21 vote.
The Tweet references a well-documented disagreement between Choi and his opponent Mitch O'Farrell over whether one of O'Farrell's canvasers threatened some in Choi's camp with a gun.

Whoever is Tweeting as Choi here responds to a Tweet from Patch follower NegativeZero (@LibrosOverHos), which asked, "Is it just me or is there a crapload of skunks in the neighborhood all of a sudden? Can't even open my windows anymore."
There's nothing to suggest that NegativeZero's query was a set-up, but the other Choi sure found an opening in this eternal question.
The O'Farrell campaign has been dishing its own dirt, only recently accusing Choi of accepting donations from firms like Forever 21, which is being investigated for keeping workers in sweat shop conditions.
The Los Angeles Times again gave its endorsement to O'Farrell earlier this week.
The real Choi and O'Farrell meet again face-to-face on Sunday in a 5 p.m. forum at the Silver Lake Bowl in Silver Lake.
Note: An earlier version of this story referred to the feed as Choi's official feed. John Choi officially tweets at https://twitter.com/JohnChoiLA.
