Ask Garcetti Anything on Thursday on Reddit
The mayor-elect wants to hear from you on reddit, a popular online forum. The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 13.

Garcetti hosted an AMA, or "ask me anything'' conversation thread on reddit in January as part of his campaign. For Thursday's AMA, instead of questions, he is hoping to take suggestions about what he ought to do as mayor come July 1.
Mayor-elect Eric Garcetti will bring his citywide "listening tour'' to the Internet-savvy set Thursday with a town hall on the online forum reddit.com.
"I did an AMA during the campaign—this time, we're doing things a little bit differently. Instead of Q/A, please share your ideas on how to create jobs and solve problems in L.A.," he wrote on the website.
The hour-long AMA will begin at 7 p.m., though comments have already begun pouring in under Garcetti's reddit post announcing the event, with people pushing for bike-friendly measures, tax incentives to rein in "runaway film production,'' more protections for jobs at the ports, where automation has become more popular, and keeping medical marijuana dispensaries open.
