Water Main Break Floods 101 Freeway Near Silver Lake Boulevard

The break, on Bellevue Avenue, lasted for at least an hour early Wednesday morning.

Crews are working this morning to repair a water main break in Silver Lake.

The break sent water onto the northbound 101 Freeway before crews stemmed the flow.

Water flowed on to the freeway from the break on Bellevue Avenue between Silver Lake and Rampart boulevards.

Utility crews cut off the water flow by 3:30 a.m.

The break displaced some pavement and affected about 15 customers.

A second break was reported near the intersection of Sixth and Bonnie Brae streets, flooding a garage and affecting about 20 customers.
