Truck Carrying Swimming Pool Chemicals Overturns

One man was injured. A haz-mat team was sent in for cleanup.

A man was seriously injured today when a truck carrying swimming pool chemicals overturned in the Silver Lake area.

Paramedics sent to the 4600 block of Santa Monica Boulevard about 6:30 a.m. transported the man for hospital treatment, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

A hazardous-materials team was sent to clean up some chemicals that spilled. Traffic was routed away from the area while crews worked to clear the scene.
