Temple Street Closed Tuesday Afternoon for Investigation After Man Hit By Car

It was slow going Temple Street in Historic Filipinotown Tuesday afternoon.

The stretch between Lake Street and Rosemont Avenue was blocked off for several hours as Rampart detectives investigated an auto accident that sent a man to the hospital.

According to one man who lives nearby, neighbors said he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Roseblake and Temple and dragged a distance down the street.

Detectives told Patch it was an accident, but the man said a domestic dispute may have been a factor

Cars driving west were diverted down Lake Street, those traveling east were routed down Rosemont Avenue, snarling traffic through the area during rush hour.
