Stolen Vehicle Chase Ends With Crash in Echo Park

This is the second police pursuit that's ended with a crash in the area around the holiday weekend.

Echo Park residents witnessed another instance of a police chase ending in a crash when authorities pursued a vehicle found to be stolen from Alhambra throughout the area until it hit two parked cars around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon on Grafton Street, according to The Eastsider L.A.

After the crash, the driver fled on foot but cut himself jumping over fences, police told The Eastsider. He was taken to a hospital.

Authorities spotted the vehicle driving fast near Sunset Boulevard, then found out it was reported stolen from Alhambra. That began the pursuit, which involved the car speeding past stop signs and almost hitting another car before the crash. The vehicle hit the side of one car before slamming head-on into another one, The Eastsider reports.
