Scott Avenue House Fire Knocked Down Early Thursday

Three people escape without injury.

A fire ravaged a one-story house in Echo Park Thursday morning, displacing three people who got out without injury, authorities said.  

The fire at 1900 W. Scott Ave. was reported at 1:52 a.m., said a Los
Angeles Fire Department captain.

It was knocked down at 2:12 a.m., a battalion chief told a news photographer at the scene.

No one was injured, the battalion chief said.

Flames engulfed the house as firefighters fought the blaze, the photographer reported.

Three adults were displaced, the captain said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, but it appeared to have started in an office area of the house, the battalion chief said.
