From the Franklin Hills Residents Association Newsletter sent out Thursday:
LAPD units on the ground and in the air turned out in force shortly after 10am this morning attempting to catch a Hot-Prowl burglary suspect or suspects in the 2100 block of Mayview Dr. The burglars broke through the front door and ransacked the upstairs portion of the house for about five minutes before going downstairs and breaking in a bedroom door. Luckily the resident had just managed to escape to the outside and was told by LAPD that recently there have been many similar incidents of daytime home break-ins while residents were home.
