Police Will Beef Up Patrols this Holiday Weekend
More LAPD officers will be on the streets.
The Los Angeles Police Department plans to beef up its patrols this holiday weekend.
Police will be out in force all over the city including in Hollywood especially “in the Hills due to house parties and fireworks,” LAPD Sergeant Darrell Davis of the Hollywood Division said.
The LAPD Rampart Division will have “triple the numbers of uniformed officers” out on the beat, according to watch commander Lieutenant Theresa Coyle.

“We have certain crime reduction strategies,” Coyle said.
Special attention will be paid to areas around MacArthur Park as well as parts of Silver Lake, according to Coyle.

The ramped up patrols will take place from July 4 up to July 6, Coyle said.
