Police Continue to Search for Suspect in Fatal Shooting in Echo Park
The shooting occurred about 4:35 p.m. Sunday at 900 N. Academy Road, according to police.
A search was continuing today for the person who fatally shot a man during a dispute in Echo Park.
The shooting occurred about 4:35 p.m. Sunday at 900 N. Academy Road, according to police.
According to detectives, the victim -- identified by the coroner only as a man in his 30s, pending notification of relatives -- was involved in a dispute and his assailant pulled out a handgun and shot the man several times.

Someone drove the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting appeared to be gang related, police said.
