Photos: Do You Recognize Any of This Stuff, Found in Alleged Serial Burglar's Car?

Over 150 items were found in a silver Mercedes-Benz parked in the garage of the Medici Apartments near downtown. The driver was taken into custody on Tuesday by police.

Los Angeles Police Department officers at the Rampart Division have arrested a 38-year-old man they believe is responsible for a string of vehicle break ins in Rampart, North Hollywood and, possibly, other parts of the city.

Police arrested North Hollywood-resident Frank Chibarro after a multi-hour search in a downtown parking garage New Year's Day.

His silver late model Mercedes was found parked in the garage of the Medici Apartments on Bixel Street stuffed full of electronics, jewelry, clothing, car keys and musical instruments.

This led officers to suspect he may have been involved in a string of vehicle burglaries through out the city.

So far, police believe he may be responsible for at least four vehicle burglaries that occurred near 7th and Bixel streets that day.

They also have evidence, including surveillance video,  linking Chibarro to vehicle burglaries in North Hollywood as well.

Police believe Chibarro would enter parking garages, then spray paint over the lense to avoid detection.

On Thursday at Rampart Division headquarters they displayed images of a man they believe is Chibarro captured by cameras at several locations.

They also presented the many items that were found in his car.  You can see some of those those in the above gallery too.
