Small Shrine Appears on Sunset After Tuesday's Shooting [Photo]

A reader uploads the above image of the simple shrine marking the spot where a man in his 30s was shot early Tuesday.

A small shrine has been set up just west of Echo Park Avenue on Sunset Boulevard.

It marks the spot where police shot a man in his 30s possibly multiple times Tuesday.

(See image above shot by a reader.)

Some had written to us thinking the flowers and candles might be there because the man had died.

But, according to several Los Angeles Police Department sources, the man remains in the hospital in stable condition.

Cellphone video shot by onlookers seems to show the man shooting first as he tried to elude police.

According to LAPD Media Relations, he has not been charged with any crime and the investigation is ongoing.

The man's name has not been releaed.

The LAPD's Force Investigation Division is handling the case because police officers are involved.
