Pedestrian Killed by Car in Silver Lake Identified
The 24-year-old-woman was hit on Rowena near West Silver Lake Drive Friday.
The EastsiderLA reports that an official in the county coroner's office identified the victim as 24-year-old Ashley Sandau of Canyon Country.
Sandau was working in marketing, while finishing her master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at St. Bonaventure University in New York, according to her LinkedIn profile

Sandau died after she tried to cross the street near Edendale, a restaurant in the 2800 block of Rowena Avenue in Silver Lake.
According to Mike Menza of LAPD's Northeast Division, poor visibility may have been the cause.

The driver was released after it was determined no crime had been committed.
"Unfortunately, this is something we deal with a lot," he said.
