Police say a man was shot multiple times when men in a vehicle approached him near the intersection of Sunset and Alvarado and opened fire at 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
The shooting is believed to be gang-related, as the victim is said to be a local gang member, according to Lt. Mike Menza of L.A.P.D. Northeast Division.
There was no additional information available regarding suspects or the vehicle, but the victim's wounds to his arm and leg were not life-threatening, Menza said.
