Man Pleads No Contest to Sexually Battering Mentally Disabled Woman Aboard Metro Bus

A 21-year-old man pleaded no contest today to a felony sexual battery charge involving an attack on a mentally disabled woman aboard a Metro bus.

Kerry Trotter also pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of indecent exposure, according to Deputy District Attorney Sarah Ballog.

Trotter attacked the 18-year-old woman—who was said to have the mental capacity of a 10-year-old—after they both boarded a Metro bus at La Cienega and Jefferson boulevards on Nov. 7, 2012, according to authorities.

Trotter is due back for sentencing May 21 at the Airport Branch Courthouse in Los Angeles.
