Echo Park Stabbings: LAPD Seeks Help

This incident is being investigated as a hate crime. The suspects made derogatory remarks regarding the victims' perceived sexual orientation.

 

LAPD Northeast Division detectives formally called on citizens Thursday to help them find the suspects in two stabbings last week on Echo Park Avenue.

The LAPD says there were three suspects involved: "two male Hispanics in their twenties and one female Hispanic also in her twenties." No further information is available.

LAPD's Northeast Division released surveillance video of both stabbings Thursday.

The LAPD release says that the two victims were involved in an "argument with the three suspects" right before the stabbing.

The release also says it is not easy to see what weapon was used.
