Four Detained After Two Hour Investigation on Sunset Boulevard Thursday

Four men have been taken to LAPD's Northeast Division station, along with their vehicle.

Traffic slowed along the 2700 block of Sunset Boulevard Thursday afternoon as LAPD Northeast Division officers conducted what one called "a narcotics-related" investigation.

Four men were detained after the investigation, which lasted nearly two hours. 

The men and their vehicle were taken to the LAPD Northeast Division on San Fernando Road just before 4 p.m.

According to officers on the scene, the incident began after a routine traffic stop.

At one point, at least three men could be seen standing in handcuffs with their backs to Sunset Boulevard.

The men were driving a BMW 325i.

A canine unit arrived on the scene around 3:30 p.m., and a golden retriever was seen going into the trunk and passenger compartment of the car.
