Firefighters Put Out Stubborn Outdoor Fire in Nearby Cypress Park

Los Angeles city firefighters put out a stubborn outdoor fire Saturday that was threatening an apartment building in the Cypress Park area of Los Angeles, a fire official said.

Firefighters dispatched at 6:25 a.m. to 2311 Riverdale Ave. had the fire contained within an hour, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

Humphrey said there was some structural damage, but that no injuries were reported.
