The Echo Park Lake Rehabilitation Project website was updated Tuesday.
It included the news that 60 geese and ducks at the lake were relocated to nearby parks for their safety and well-being.
Wildlife biologists performed the move under the supervision of community members.
The report also says that the lake draining continues. Water is being drained and will end up at the Hyperion Wastewater Plant for treatment.
Echo Park residents are also serving as members of the odor monitoring committee.
While the worst of the smells are over, you can call (213) 978-0317 if you do smell something funny.
Finally a stormwater diversion structure at Echo Park Avenue and Park Avenue is almost completed.
It should be done mid-February.
