CHP Arrest 1, LAPD Looking for 2 More in Connection with Stolen Car

California Highway Patrol officers chased three people Tuesday and captured one after an attempt was made to stop a vehicle on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway near Union Station that had been reported as stolen.

Los Angeles Police Department officers joined their CHP counterparts in looking for three suspects at 5:22 p.m., said LAPD Officer Rosario Herrera.

The suspects were initially spotted at the Denny's on Vignes Street and Cesar Chavez Avenue, right behind Union Station, CHP Officer Peter Bishop said.

One person was taken into custody, Bishop said.

On Tuesday evening, ABC7 reported that authorities were still looking for the two outstanding suspects in the Los Angeles River near the railroad yards.
