City Council Approves $50,000 Rewards for Unsolved Murders of Two Girls

Council district 1 rep Ed Reyes, who represents Lincoln Heights where the girls lived, sponsored the resolutions to create the rewards.

The Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved $50,000 rewards Wednesday for information leading to convictions in the unsolved murders of two young women, both of whom may have been found alongside highways within the last 10 months.

The body many believe to be Bree'anna Guzman discovered near the Riverside Drive on-ramp to the Glendale (2) Freeway in Silver Lake last week, about a month after the 22-year-old went missing.

The LAPD website again stated Wednesday that the coroner had not formally confirmed the body was Guzman's.
