Farmers Market to Open at The Autry in Griffith Park

The Saturday market will offer a range of activities for the whole family.

A new Saturday farmers market at The Autry National Center in Griffith Park is set to open April 28.

From 8 a.m. to noon, expect live music, fresh produce and prepared foods on the grounds. Organizers will also have family games ready for use. Think ping pong, bocce ball and Frisbee.

For adults, take your pick between a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar at The Autry Cafe or gain running or cycling tips during clinics sponsored by A Runner’s Circle and Velo.

The market will have about 16 local and organic farmers and more. Confirmed vendors include Tutti Frutti Farms, Underwood  Family Farms, Avila & Sons Farms, Milkman Artisan Cheeses, Homeboy Bakery, Novy Ranch,  Cobblermania, and Longshot Espresso, according to a news release.

Autry members will receive a 10 percent off discount upon showing their membership card at any of the vendor booths.

The Sunset Junction Alliance Farmers Market at the Sunset Triangle Plaza also continues on Saturdays starting at 9 a.m.
