'The Coals' Film New Music Video on L.A. River

Los Angeles band The Coals film their music video "Redeem Me" on a stretch of the Los Angeles River.

California country folk band The Coals recently filmed a music video for their song "Redeem Me" on a stretch of the Los Angeles River near Echo Park.

In the video, lead singer Jason Mandell is seen carrying a canoe through Echo Park before heading down the banks of the river and launching.

Throughout the video, Mandell is pictured floating down the L.A. River before going (digitally) over a large waterfall.

The Coals, based in Los Angeles, specialize in country folk with a "rollicking, pastoral sound," according to their website. The band also recently released their album A Happy Animal this past summer.
