A crowd of about 300 again gathered Wednesday night at the Sunset Triangle Plaza for a screening of LA Confidential.

And, in a touch of art meets life, as they watched--just a few doors away--a new season of the award-winning Showtime series Californication was taking shape inside an abandoned church.

There was no sign of star David Duchovny, but we did see a director's chair with "Maggie Grace" on it.

The leggy actress recently joined the series and, presumably, features in this episode of Season 6.

The area around Sunset Triangle Plaza seems to be a hot zone for night shoots.

We recently caught a Doritos Taco shoot at a private home holding up traffic on Maltman.
