L.A. Works' Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

L.A. Works, Los Angeles' volunteer center for community and corporate service, will lead a major service project on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 17.  More than 1,000 volunteers, community leaders and corporate sponsors are expected to devote a day of service in honor of the spirit and legacy of Dr. King by transforming and revitalizing the grounds of Rosemont Elementary School in Echo Park.  Project activities will include painting murals, touching up paint, constructing planter benches and rehabilitating a school garden.

Volunteers must register online at www.laworks.com. Please, no walk-ups. Volunteer space will be released as it becomes available. Please keep checking online for availability.
