Join us on Tuesday, Jan. 14 as we kick off our Authors Worth Celebrating dinner series with 11 year-old cookbook author Tyler Cordova. Tyler's story is one for the books (literally) and is bound to inspire.
At the age of 4, Tyler was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He battled for his life for years; undergoing surgery after surgery-- chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and multiple relapses-- until finally reaching remission. This young boy kept his spirits high despite the fact that the odds were not in his favor. Throughout his journey, Tyler found a love for food; often watching the Food Network for hours on end. He compiled his recipes into his aptly named cookbook,"Savoring Life."
Our Executive Chef Erick Simmons will be taking some of Tyler's recipes and creating a three-course meal as we celebrate Tyler's journey and the book that exposes his relentless heart and soul.
