A car heading west on Effie Street collided with a white pickup at the intersection of Sanborn Avenue in Silver Lake.
The morning quiet was shattered by screetching tires followed by a loud "BANG!" Saturday. A car heading west on Effie Street collided with a white pickup at the intersection of Sanborn Avenue in Silver Lake.
The street is a two-way stop and a confusing one at that. It seems like it should be a four-way stop, and for the truck involved, (heading north on Sanborn) this confusion had an unfortunate outcome.
Neighbors who had gathered around said that crashes at this intersection happen much too frequently. If any of you readers have been at that intersection, let me know what you think about it in comments below.

On the bright side, no one was hurt. And that is fortunate, as the crash was quite a loud one.
