Little Tagging Before Latest Artwalk

Echo Park Avenue looks spic and span early Saturday, unlike in previous years.

Taggers have made it a tradition to bomb the stretch of Echo Park Avenue just above Sunset in the pre-dawn hours before the annual Artwalk.

She confirmed what we suspected:

We contacted LAPD and Select Patrol to keep an extra eye out for that night and day!  A huge thank you goes to Rosie Betanzos and senior lead officer Gina Chovan!

Select Patrol is the private security company that backs up LAPD Northeast Division officers in the area.

Coincidentally, Northeast has just reassigned Officer Molly Beall to a special graffiti "beat," according to Sgt. Ruben Arellano.

She is just beginning this week.
