Good thing we stopped by midday and caught Michaud and Lee in the above photo, conferring together.

They call their collaboration "Project Ivanhoe," invoking the name Silver Lake was called for a time.

Meantime, just down the street, Eric Park and partner Jonathan Kim have opened Black Hogg.

Park, who attended Pilgrim High School in the Rampart District, says he's mixing old-world standards with new world spices.

The creamy chicken livers laced with serrano chiles are one example. Roasted bone marrow with cilantro salad is another.

Black Hogg is at 2852 West Sunset Boulevard. Click here to see the website and menu.

Red Hill is at 1325 Echo Park Avenue.
