Silver Lake Music Festival to Hold Town Hall Meeting

Looks like Jack Martinez and the rest of the gang at the Silver Lake Jubilee are taking the lessons of Sunset Junction to heart.

They've announced a Town Hall meeting on March 21  from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Silver Lake Jewish Independent Community Center at 1110 Bates.

According to a release, the meeting will feature a Q&A with Jubilee directors.

The Jubilee is relocating its main stage this year from under Sunset Boulevard at Myra to the expanse of Santa Monica Boulevard just off Sunset.

That's part of the same area that used to complain about traffic and crime during the now-cancelled Sunset Junction Street Fair.

So it will be interesting to see how this newer Jubilee fares with community members and what it plans to do to keep their good will.

Jubilee ticket prices have also jumped from $5 to $20 for a day pass this year.

The 3rd annual Silver Lake jubilee is scheduled for May 26-27, 2012.
