Echo Park Now brings us this disturbing news Sunday: the outlet at 1546 Glendale Blvd. has closed.
The website posts a photo of the vacant space in the same mall where a Seven-11 convenience store has long been expected to open.
Echo Park Patch knows well the special place La Pizza Loca holds in the hearts of many Echo Parquenos with its jalapeno pepper topping and its giant 32-inch size. Prices were also very reasonable, another attraction.
It was a tough decision, frankly, when we left it off our "Readers Choice Pizza" poll, which, unfortunately, was limited to independents.
Echo Park Now notes that until recently "there was once a Cash Express storefront, a flower/bike/tobacco kiosk, and a Dog Grooming busines" at the same location.
Now most storefronts are bare, except for the Tacos Mexico.
