Well, Echo Park's Short Stop on Sunset remains a raucous stop on a Saturday night.

Owned since 2001 by a consortium of entertainers, the bar has a long history--and not always as a bar, or even as a cop bar.

The storefront once housed a fur shop, a confectionary store and even a laundromat.
