Echo Park Rising From Sunset Junction's Ashes

The second annual festival celebrates the hottest small businesses of Echo Park and Silver Lake. The music roster is also not to be missed!

Enjoy the eastside of Los Angeles at the 2nd Echo Park Rising Festival Saturday, August 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. the next morning.

Last year it was an improvised event, put together with the remnants of the just-cancelled Sunset Junction Street Fair.

This year, it's a well-planned bash, with 65 bands, DJs and performers to appear on 9 stages, including the mainstage in the Taix parking lot.

Local shops, galleries and foods as local businesses will showcase their many talents and treats along Sunset Blvd, Echo Park Avenue, and Glendale Blvd in Echo Park.

Here are just a few of the many highlights:

The Echoplex will offer discounted books, t-shirts, record labels, poster art, letter-press vendors and vintage pinball machines.

LA Zine Fest will offer a how-to-workshop on making your own fanzine.

Finally, look for the Echo Park Rising after parties hosted by Funky Sole, Bootie LA and the Echo Country Outpost.

Click through here to see everything that's going on  at the official Echo Park Rising webpage.

Echo Park Rising will take place on Sunset Boulevard, Echo Park Avenue and Glendale Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA 90026.
