Dodger Stadium's Most Popular Dessert Is Back

The newly re-created Cool-A-Coo debuts Thursday.

The new Dodgers ownership has changed many things--most of them, fans seem to feel, for the better.

Another change promised debuts Thursday, when the Cool-A-Coo ice cream sandwich returns to Dodger Stadium.

The Cool-A-Coo was originally made by a company in El Monte.

The firm sold the Cool-A-Coo trademark to Sweety Novelty, a Monterey-Park company, which stopped making it.

Thus, the disappearance.

To bring it back, the Dodger concession, Levy Restaurants, had to first license the name.

Then they had to tweak the recipe--it was at least a decade old and American palates had changed.

They did, and according to the Los Angeles Times, this Cool-A-Coo is a little less sweet.

We are betting it will prove just as popular.
