The busy three-way intersection where Silver Lake Boulevard, Beverly Boulevard and Virgil Street collide is one of the last places you'd expect to find salvation.
But it is, at least for home-based workers facing computer dilemmas.
Victor Marini's Computer Doctor has been based in the two-story mini-mall at 240 N. Virgil since 2005.
Marini and his three employees cordially help overwrought computer owners deal with jammed SD cards, coffee spills, viruses, shattered screens and routine maintenance, always with a smile and courtesy.
Marini, a Mexican immigrant, founded the company in 2002, but moved it to Silver Lake in 2005.
Marino takes great pride in having an international workforce, pointing to the fact his employees come from Guatemala, Vietnam and New Mexico.
He said the business of computer repair has contracted a lot in the last eleven years, with only the best surviving.
Is he among them?
He smiles shyly and rolls his eyes, but his track record speaks for him.
