Best Ethnic Market on the Eastside

Nominate your choice in Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Atwater, Cypress Park, Glassell Park, Highland Park, Eagle Rock or Mount Washington. Later, cast your vote for the winner.

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program with a big blowout: voting in 25 categories based entirely on reader nominations.

One of them is "Best Ethnic Market."

What's your favorite place to shop when you want to take a taste trip without leaving home?

Pick from among the neighborhoods covered by the Echo Park-Silver Lake, Eagle Rock and Highland Park-Mount Washington Patches:

  • Silver Lake
  • Echo Park
  • Los Feliz
  • Atwater
  • Cypress Park
  • Glassell Park
  • Highland Park
  • Eagle Rock
  • Mount Washington

We know folks are mobile in trying to make the most of their neighborhoods. So we decided to team up so our pick truly represents where you live and may also travel.

To nominate a store, just mention it in the comments below.

If you already see your nominee there, second it with a comment of your own.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Anyone keen on A Grocery Warehouse in EP or maybe Mario's in Glendale (which is stretching it a bit, I know)?

Super King, A Grocery Warehouse, and Whole Life Foods (by India Sweets). In that order.

Super King. And I don't find shoppers rude. I ask for cooking tips over the Verdolage and people always have great things to say. But the olives and feta are the best!

Super King on San Fernando Road. Love them!

Went to Super King yesterday. THE BEST!!! I couldn't eat as healthy as I do with out them. I even bought Zucchini Blossoms which I stuffed and sauteed.
