4. Trees for a Green LA has been discontinued by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, but you can still sign up to receive up to seven free trees thanks to the Million Trees LA program. Residents and organizations can fill out a short form to find trees and request more information. The website also offers care instructions for trees, volunteer opportunities, and links to other tree and community programs.
