A new business is taking shape at 2624 Sunset, the former site of the Silverlake Furniture Warehouse.
It started last summer, say neighbors, when the residence next to 2624 Sunset on Benton Way was knocked down.
Then the interior was gutted.
And now new windows and a side door have appeared where once metal rolling doors allowed entry to a former auto repair shop.
Rudy Lara grew up in the neighborhood and remembers taking his car to that shop when he was a teen.
He told Echo Park-Silver Lake Patch that, from the looks of things, it's a club that is going in to the fairly large place.
He also pointed to the side door that was recently created on Benton, in addition to the one already existing.
Kitty-corner from the internationally famous Happy Foot-Sad Foot sign, at the southwest corner of Benton and Sunset, the site could have some cachet as a destination.
