West Hollywood Library Opens with Biggest Shepard Fairey Mural Ever

The new library--dedicated Saturday--has the largest Fairey mural ever on its outside.

Shepard Fairey has thrown up his largest mural ever on the City of West Hollywood's new library.

It's called "West Hollywood Peace Elephant" and is 70 feet by 106 feet.

Fairey says on his website that he paid for the materials and labor himself.

The library is located at 626 N. San Vicente Boulevard and also features another Fairey, inside the complex next to the entrance to the City Council chambers, which are connected to the library.

The library was dedicated Saturday, with much fanfare. Best-selling author Jackie Collins dropped by before an appearance at the West Hollywood book fair.
