Silver Lake-Based Band Magic Wands to Play Free Show

The Magic Wands will play a free show at Harvard & Stone at 5221 Hollywood Blvd. tonight at 10 p.m.

Los Angeles Magazine said, "along with a full-fledged band they're producing self-described genre 'lovewave' music with overtones of psychedelia, electronica, rock, and pop."

The band has toured with The Kills, The Raconteurs and The Black Keys. They've appeared at SXSW and Lollapalooza. And worked on their 2012 album Aloha Moon in numerous locales, including a cabin in the hills of Echo Park.

The group is expected to release their next album later this month.
