Silver Lake Scene: School Yard Something

We sent out photographer Gary Leonard who snapped the above photo at Micheltorena Elementary School in Silver Lake.

Someone had woven toy animals together to spell out R-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N.

The Micheltorena School Yard is the site of the monthly Art, Craft and Vintage show, so the choice of venue for this crafty confrontation makes a bit of sense.

But what was the intended message?  And who was the maker?

Meantime, stuffed animal art and activism is all over.

Caine's Arcade--the child-wrought cardboard installation that captivated visitors at this weekend's UNIQUE LA--dabbles in the medium.

And, of course, those teddy bears have been dangling from electric lines in the area for a while.
