Silver Lake Scene: School Yard Something

An anonymous texter sent us word of a teddy bear revolution over the weekend.

We sent out photographer Gary Leonard who snapped the above photo at Micheltorena Elementary School in Silver Lake.

Someone had woven toy animals together to spell out R-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N.

The Micheltorena School Yard is the site of the monthly Art, Craft and Vintage show, so the choice of venue for this crafty confrontation makes a bit of sense.

Caine's Arcade--the child-wrought cardboard installation that captivated visitors at this weekend's UNIQUE LA--dabbles in the medium.

And, of course, those teddy bears have been dangling from electric lines in the area for a while.

Feel free to upload images of stuffed-animal art if you've got 'em--including other pics of the revolutionary sign.
