School of Rock Tour Raises $23,000 For Ronald McDonald House [Video]

A nationwide summer tour, which included members from the North Hollywood school, brings in big bucks for a good cause

Back in July, Patch at , which was the second stop of a nationwide tour to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House. Representing seven of the academy’s locations, including , the 25 West Coast All Stars and North Hollywood House Band performed songs by everyone from Led Zeppelin to Prince.

This month, the announced on its website that the tour, which featured 22 shows, raised over $23,000.

School of Rock is a rock music education program for children ages seven to 18. The program is designed for beginners as well as advanced students and provides students with instruction in guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals from professional musicians. The program consists of weekly private lessons along with group rehearsals that all lead up to students playing in a rock show at the end of the semester. The school also offers summer camps in addition to semester study and an adult program that takes place Monday nights.
