Super Thespian Returns to Local Scene After Illness

Lee Boek, famed Silver Lake actor and impressario, is beginning his return after major heart attack.

Lee Boek, the Silver Lake actor and impresario and co-founder of Public Works Improvisational Theater, is returning to the scene after a major heart attack. On Thursday, Dec. 6, he will preside over a story telling event at The Last Book Store in downtown Los Angeles.

For a horrible while, Boek's many friends feared for him. A tall, athletic man who still takes long walks, and is busy doing a million things, insists he is not planning on going out any time soon.

His doctors warned him when he got out of the hospital to take it easy. It's not clear Boek has been entirely successful in that.
