KCRW's Immigrant Radio Project Launches

Keep an eye out for Sonic Trace's traveling studio. Or come Thursday night and tell your story.

Sonic Trace is KCRW's new first-person storytelling project.

Part radio, part video, part mapping project, Sonic Trace will ask participants:  ¿Por qué te vas? ¿Por qué te quedas? ¿Por qué regresas? Why do you go? Why do you stay? And, what makes you return?

It begins in the heart of Los Angeles, and travels to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras to trace the roots of some of our city's newcomers.

Selected stories will be edited for air on KCRW 89.9 FM and archiving on KCRW.com.
