The 10th Anniversary season of World City opens with Barynya, celebrating the music, dance, and song of Russia. This renowned ensemble performs traditional Russian, Ukranian, Cossack, Siberian, Jewish, and Russian Gypsy dance in colorful, hand-made costumes while virtuoso musicians play a variety of authentic instruments.
In addition to the performance, we will be holding workshops which will give children the opportunity to explore the featured culture through unique art-making projects.
For 10 years, World City audiences have been exploring the sights and sounds of cultures from around the world, so in celebration of this special milestone, we invite you to get your World City Passport! Use the passport to document your explorations as you travel with us this year. (Limit 1 passport per person while supplies last)
Performance times are at 11:00 am and 12:30 pm. Tickets are FREE and distributed in the Blue Ribbon Garden. Tickets for the 11:00 am performance are distributed at 10:00 am. Tickets for the 12:30 pm performance are distributed at 11:00 am.
